Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Garcia-Margallo received the United States Secretary of State John Kerry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs offices in Madrid, Monday, as part of Kerry's two-day-visit to Spain. After shaking hands and posing for the media, both leaders went upstairs, where Garcia-Margallo presented Kerry with a Spanish guitar. In exchange, the Spanish foreign minister received a desk clock. Early on Monday, both ministers announced an agreement paving the way for US to clean up contaminated soil in Palomares (Almeria), where four nuclear bombs were dropped after an US plane air crash happened in 1966. The visit was initially planned to happen on May, but had to be cancelled due to Kerry's accident while cycling in Switzerland, which forced him to go to the hospital. Now, apart from Foreign Minister Garcia-Margallo, Kerry is expected to meet Spanish king Felipe VI and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.
