A man, who was wounded on Saturday after a bomb exploded at a Kurdish rally in Diyarbakir, cast his ballot at Dicle University Hospital, Diyarbakir, in Turkey’s general election, Sunday. Two people were killed and up to 200 injured in the attack on the Kurdish People’s Party Rally (HDP). Many of the injured are also being treated at the Dicle University Hospital. An ongoing investigation into Saturday's attack found ball bearings, nails and other metal fragments at the scene of the crime. Several people have reportedly been arrested in connection with the act. HDP is attempting to be the first Kurdish party in Turkey's history to pass the 10 percent threshold of votes required to take seats in parliament. If reached, the HDP could threaten the ruling Justice and Development Party's (AKP) parliamentary supermajority and threaten plans to push through constitutional reform to transform Turkey from a parliamentary democracy into a presidential system.
