USA: Total buzzkill, dude! Pro-POT-protesters arrested mid-SPLIFF outside US Capitol

At least four activists were arrested at a pro-marijuana legalisation rally in front of the US Capitol in Washington DC on Monday, organised by the DC-based organisation lobbying for the legalisation of marijuana - the DCMJ.
Several activists from the group took turns to address a crowd in front of the Capitol building. One of the protesters, Rachel Donlan, spoke of her experiences with medical marijuana and how it helped her to get through painful medical treatments.
"I went through four years up at a Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for experimental treatments which were extremely painful and cannabis helped to take the edge off of that just a little bit. Just enough to help me keep going back every three weeks for those four years to go through these painful treatments. And guess what it worked," said Donlan.
Another activist, Dawn Lee Carty, added "My daughter went from 50-60 seizures a day, sometimes 12 to 15 minutes long. Since she has been medicating with cannabis, Zoey is now 91 percent seizure free."
Shortly after the activists had their say, the protesting group lit joints, prompting police officers to approach and start making arrests.
