Thousands of climate activists marched through London on Friday to join the global climate strike demanding urgent governmental action ahead of the United Nations summit on climate change.
The protesters marched towards the Houses of Parliament and were joined by activists from the 'extinction rebellion' group who held their protest in solidarity alongside the climate strike demonstrators.
The strike in London is just one of many taking place in major cities in the UK and across the world with the organisers of the event estimating 150 countries to have taken part.
