Apple Passes Google

Apple is back on top. Apple has reclaimed a long-running title as the world's most valuable brand. Google had a brief run at the top last year. The Brand Z rankings are compiled by marketing research firm Millward Brown. Before Google took over the top spot last year, Apple had enjoyed a three-year run at the top of the ranking. Millward calculates the rankings by using market data and millions of consumer surveys to evaluate the portion of a company's value that can be attributed to its brand.
