Russian President Vladimir Putin said in Moscow, Wednesday, that officials working to secure the country's borders "must step-up their efforts to end drug trafficking." The Russian leader was chairing a meeting of the State Council's Presidium on the implementation of anti-drug policy in Russia when he made the comments. While their was still area for improvement, the Russian leader stated mortality rate had dropped by 30 percent for people aged between 15 and 34 between 2005 and 2014. The participants of the meeting examined measures to combat drug trafficking and drug use more effectively.
