Hundreds of Black Live Matter activists took to the streets of London on Tuesday, to march against police brutality following the deadly police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in the United States. Moreover, the protesters expressed their disagreement with the appointment of Theresa May as UK's presumptive prime minister.
Protesters met at the US Embassy in London's Mayfair and then marched to Westminster, where they protested outside Downing Street, the residence of the Prime Minister of the UK.
Sterling, 37, was shot on July 5 when two police officers went to investigate a claim that he was in possession of a gun while selling CDs in the parking lot of the Triple S Food Mart. Castile's death came just one day after the death of Sterling, also at the hands of a police officer.
Demonstrations have been held across the US and in parts of Europe following the two police killings.
