Woodward [Ed Woodward Chief Executive of Manchester United] has been making most of the decisions. He's not a footballing man so a lot of the signing have been the wrong the wrong type of player or the wrong character and yes the Glazers they borrowed money to buy the club and they take money out of the club each year. And we've had to pay, over I think it's eight hundred million pounds to service the debt, the debt repayments and the interest, money that could have been reinvested in the squad, in the stadium. So yes we are just fed up with the Glazers owning the club and also Woodward's running of the club as well, he's not a football man, he doesn't know anything about football he's just a business man. Hundreds of Manchester United fans held a protest decrying their club's management as their team prepared to face off against rival Liverpool at their home ground of Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.
Footage shows Manchester Utd fans bearing banners calling for club's American owners, the Glazer family and chief executive Ed Woodward, to be kicked out of their roles.
"They've (the Glazers) taken over a billion pounds out of United, yeah they've spent money but it's been spent badly…we are just fed up with the Glazers owning the club and also Woodward's running of the club as well, he's not a football man," one fan said at the protest.
According to Manchester fans, since the Glazers acquired their team the amount of debt the club owes has increased to unsustainable levels and Ed Woodward's alleged poor player transfer decisions have resulted in their squad's poor performance in recent games.
