Protests against US President Donald Trump's nominee for the US Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh ended with 128 arrests in Washington DC on Monday.
The protesters visited the offices of Senators Susan Collins, Jeff Flake, and Ben Sasse, who some allege may be persuaded to vote against Trump's Supreme Court nominee.
"We are here to fight for all. And we believe that Senator Collins can be a hero. We believe that she can do the right thing,” one protester said.
After office visits, protesters shifted the demonstrations to the rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building, where dozens were arrested, including several disabled protesters.
One of them stated "Brett Kavanaugh, if confirmed, will sit on the high court for half of my daughter's adult life. His right-wing agenda will hurt everybody who is not allied with the strong conservative agenda."
Trump's nominee is under pressure after being accused of sexual assaulting Christine Blasey Ford at a high school party in the 1980s.
