Incumbent Argentine President Mauricio Macri appealed to voters for their backing in the upcoming general election during a mass rally attended by thousands of supporters in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
"Let us not fall into mirages, in the same empty promises of what so many times we were disappointed, with it are the same frustrations as always, the abuses that we no longer want, the privileges defended with lies and legs, do not fall again,” Macri told the huge crowd of supporters.
Current polls for the October 27 general election put incumbent Macri at 30 percent of the vote, 18 points behind current front-runner Alberto Fernandez of the Justicialist Party.
