Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised the President of Cuba Raul Castro's contribution to the prospering bilateral relations with Russia in Moscow, Monday. Speaking at a presentation of Cuban leader's biography by Nikolai Leonov, Lavrov added "The new book will surely be interesting for both international diplomats and a broad circle of readers. It comprises a lot of interesting facts related to both the Cuban revolution and the development of bilateral relations of our two countries, to the facts of which Nikolai Sergeyevich [Leonov] has had a special relation to." The 87 year-old author of the book and former senior KGB officer has known Raul Castro personally. He met the incumbent Cuban leader at the age of 25 on a journey to Mexico, when the latter was returning from a European youth festival to take up a post at the Russian Embassy.
