Germany: C. Karembeu presents UEFA CL trophy ahead of historic final

Former Real Madrid star and current UEFA ambassador Christian Karembeu presented the UEFA Champions League trophy to fans in Berlin, Thursday. Joined at the iconic Brandenburg Gate, the retired French international ace was joined by Berlin 'Senator for the Interior and Sports' Frank Henkel and treasurer of the German football association Rainer Grindel. The three took to a make-shift stage by one of Berlin's most famous landmarks, posing for photographs as they held the most prized asset in global club football. Kicking off at 20:45 CET at Berlin's Olympiastadion, the Champions League final witnesses favourites FC Barcelona face Juventus FC. Speaking at the event, Henkel expressed excitement at the prospect of Berlin hosting the final for the first time in its history.
