About 1,000 people took part in an anti-refugee march through Calais organised by the group "Les calaisiens en colere," Sunday. Footage shows the protesters marching through the French city before heading to the beach, despite the protest being banned by the local mayor. One of the protesters explained why she took part in the march, saying refugees "dirty our city, they care about nothing, and today we are here to say that we are fed up with everything that happens in Calais." Thousands of migrants and refugees have settled in camps over the past year in Calais, waiting for a chance to cross the English Channel into the United Kingdom.
