A permanent "working group" will be created by the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to study the effects of economic sanctions carried out by the United States and other countries, Venezuela's Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza announced in Caracas on Monday.
"Our movement will create a working group that will be dedicated all year, every year, to see how countries face and overcome the effect of these sanctions," Arreaza said.
The Venezuelan foreign minister went on to say that the group would then consider going "to the International Court of Justice, to denounce, as Iran did, to denounce, to ask for legal opinion and legal interpretation, on the decisions regarding economic terrorism that the United States of America has been taking."
Arreaza also spoke of the continued need to continue dialogue between the Venezuelan government and opposition, saying "a motion to support the political dialogue in Venezuela was approved, in support of the mediation of Norway and the dialogue that has developed lately in Barbados."
