Facebook's AI Group Can Recognize People In Photos Without Faces

Facebook is working on facial-recognition technology that can identify someone even if their face isn't in the photo.
According to New Scientist, the tech recognizes people in photos using distinguishing features other than their face.
The working algorithm looks at various attributes, including hair, clothing and body type to determine who was in the photo.
Yann LeCun, Facebook's head of artificial intelligence joked that it could recognize the companies' CEO Mark Zuckerberg because of his affinity for gray T-shirts.
Facebook's algorithm is only in its test phase right now, but could one day make it to the company's apps.
