Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin accused Kiev of playing political games and preventing the realisation of the Minsk agreements, while speaking to press before attending the latest round of Ukraine reconciliation talks in Paris, Wednesday. Giving examples of Kiev's unwillingness to engage in the Minsk agreements, Karasin stated that "instead of discussing methods of stabilising real social and economical life, the south-west government officials of Ukraine in fact talk about enforcing the border with the Dontesk and Lugansk republics, installing some border fences, blocking transport, trade, the social welfare of people who live there." These actions, Karasin said, do not improve the situation and only cause "more mutual mistrust than before" between both sides of the conflict. As part of the latest round of Normandy format meetings, Karasin travelled to Paris to discuss the ongoing Ukraine crisis and the implementation of the Minsk agreements with the deputy foreign minister of Germany, France and Ukraine.
