5-Year-Old Children Vulnerable to Islamist Propaganda: Police Chief

Britain’s most senior Muslim police chief warned Islamist propaganda is influencing children as young as five. Scotland Yard commander Mak Chishty advocated intensive monitoring to spot early signs of anti-western feelings.
Chishty said five year old children had voiced opposition to marking Christmas saying it was forbidden by Islam. He also warned that there was no end in sight to the parade of British Muslims joining Islamic State in Syria. About 700 have joined ISIS so far.
In an interview with the Guardian, Chishty said there was now a need for to monitor Muslims in private spaces to spot views that could show the beginning of radicalisation far earlier.
