Portugal: Wheelchair–bound MP falls on freshly built ramp ahead of disability rights debate

The deputy from the Left Bloc party (BE) Jorge Falcato fell out of his wheelchair when a freshly built ramp failed to work at the Assembly of the Republic, Lisbon on Friday.
Falcato was the first disabled person to use the platform at the Assembly of the Republic. Despite the fall, Falcato proceeded to give an address to the Assembly about disabled people's rights in the country.
The Vice-President of the Assembly, Jorge Lacao pressed that the incident should serve as a motivator for public and private sectors to work towards eliminating any discrimination.
