Пакистан: Момичето със зелените очи Шарбат Гула беше депортирана

Pakistani authorities deported Sharbat Gula, the 'green-eyed Afghan girl' who featured on an iconic National Geographic front cover in 1985, Wednesday.
Gula was arrested for living in Pakistan with unauthorised documentation, according to authorities. She was handed over to Afghan officials at the Torkham border crossing point after being transferred from a hospital in Peshawar.
Sharbat Gula came to symbolise the suffering of ordinary Afghan citizens during the 1980s conflict after she was featured on the front cover of National Geographic. She arrived in Pakistan as an orphan after fleeing the war between Soviet forces and the US-backed mujahadeen.
