Democrats Battle GOP Over Tough Budget Votes for GOP

Top Democratic budget writers on Tuesday preemptively railed against the GOP’s yet-to-be-finalized spending blueprint even as they planned to force Republicans to cast more tough election-year amendment votes on the budget. Leaders will name conferees today in the House to hash out the final details. The Senate is expected to follow suit later this week.
