People from Donetsk laid flowers at a monument to the victims of World War II (also known as the Great Patriotic War), Monday to mark the 74th year since the day of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. At least 300 veterans their families, local residents along with religious and political leaders turned out to pay their respects. A priest delivered a requiem for all those who lost their lives during the Great Patriotic War, a figure estimated at around 20 million.
