At least 12 people lost their lives in southeastern France, and others are missing, due to severe floods and storms, Saturday. The French Riviera and especially the cities of Antibes and Nice were severely hit by torrential rainfall, about 10 percent of the annual total. Around 27,000 houses remain without electricity and dozens of cars have been carried off into the Mediterranean Sea after the Brague River overflowed. The railway services stopped and hundreds of people were stuck at Nice airport. A football match between Nice and Nantes was postponed due to heavy rain. Credit: @janinthesky
