US President Donald Trump commented on the outcome of Israel's general election before boarding Airforce One alongside his new National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
"Everybody knew it's going to be very close [the Israeli elections] and we'll see what happens. And look: our relationship is with Israel. We'll see what happens," Trump said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to win an outright majority in the poll on Tuesday. The latest results show that his main rival Benny Gantz's Blue and White bloc is leading by two seats with 33 out of 120 seats in the Knesset.
