SOT, Gahela, Transgender representative (Spanish): "We have reconvened to come out again to show affection, to demonstrate what we give each other daily because the people of diversity who love exist 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and all we have done today is to express it in a public way, even though this context represses us and forces to hide who we are. We are here to give an answer of affection, love and affection."

Activists from the LGBT community rallied in the centre of Lima on Saturday, as they staged their annual kiss-in protest to demand equal rights for same-sex couples and denounce homophobia.
Same-sex couples could be seen kissing and hugging in San Martin Square, many wrapped up in the rainbow flag. The same action took place later on the stairs of the Palace of Justice.
One of the activists explained that the event was held to respond with a display of love to the government's repression. "This context represses us and forces to hide who we are," she said.
The event, dubbed 'Kisses for Diversity', was established by LGBT activists on this date in 2011, to remember when a group of campaigners were harshly attacked by police forces for displaying these signs of affections in the capital's Plaza de Armas.
