An empty inn located next to a refugee shelter was targetted in a suspected arson attack in the German town of Remseck-am-Neckar, close to Stuttgart, Tuesday. Around 96 firefighters were deployed to the scene and the fire was brought under control within an hour. Footage shows the inn boarded up and sealed off by metal fencing early on Tuesday morning as police continue their investigation into the causes of the blaze. Local residents noticed the fire and informed the authorities around 02:45 local time (00:45 GMT) on Tuesday. Firefighters evacuated the refugee shelter, taking residents to safety as the blaze was extinguished. A police spokesperson said that the building had not been intended to house refugees. No casualties were reported as the building was empty at the time of the blaze.
