Italian police arrested 11 members alleged to be members of the Sicilian Mafia, Monday. Police say that footage released on Monday shows two members of the Sicilian Mafia, the Cosa Nostra, meeting in the Sicilian countryside to receive secret "pazzini" codes from alleged fugitive mob boss Matteo Massina Denaro. According to the Italian police the secret "pazzini" messages, included phrases such as "the sheep need shearing," "I've put the ricotta cheese aside for you" and "the hay is ready," to let the gang know when there was a message from Cosa Nostra boss Matteo Massina Denaro. The messages were reportedly placed under a rock in a field where he tended sheep. The group, which included Vito Gondola, an old time Mafioso in his 70s whose job it was to alert the group to each new message, had reportedly been under police surveillance since 2011. 53-year-old Matteo Massina Denaro, who has been on the run since 1993, is believed to be the successor of jailed Godfathers Toto Riina and Bernando "The Tractor" Provenzano. In 2011 Forbes named him as the sixth most-wanted man.
