Thousands of protesters gathered in Sanaa, Sunday, to demand an end to the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes that began in Yemen on March 26. Nine people were killed and at least 60 others left injured on Saturday when the capital was attacked by coalition airstrikes and on Friday the Saudi-led coalition bombed Sanaa's Old City, which is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to latest UN figures more than 2,000 people have been killed and more than half a million displaced since the Saudi-led airstrikes began in Yemen on March 26. The Saudi-led coalition includes eight other Arab states and is receiving logistical support from the United States, Britain and France.
