USA: Meet Lazarus, the turtle who died TWICE

Two loggerhead sea turtles were released into the ocean by veterinarians of the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program in waters off Charleston, South Carolina, April 10. One of the turtles was named Lazarus because he technically died twice prior to his release. Lazarus had low amounts of blood sugar, iron and protein when he was found on the coast. Despite receiving medical attention, he became unresponsive twice before being resuscitated both times. However, specialists of the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program managed to bring the turtle to health after almost one year in intensive care, finally being able to release him, with another turtle, into the ocean.
