Several hundred activists from various Ukrainian nationalist parties picketed the Interior Ministry building, in Kiev, on Thursday, to ask the government not to introduce a change to the law which would be see police be given a presumption in cases filed against them.
Amongst the protesters were "Svoboda," "Right Sector" and the OUN (Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists). Many of the protesters were dressed in military fatigue, including balaclavas, while others held placards reading "A new police, the old order" and "Less police more reforms."
The so-called Commander of battalion of the OUN, Nikolai Kohanovski stated, "Today we are fighting for the Ukrainian truth to be included in the state. For the destruction of oligarchy. For Khatia to go away. For Avakov to get out of the country. That Poroshenko the number one Ukrainian enemy number gets out of our country."
