Greek football fans attacked a Ruptly producer during while he was filming outside the the Karaiskakis stadium in Pireas, before the ‘Olympiacos’ – ‘Krasnodar’ Champions League qualifying round play-off match on Wednesday evening.
The footage stops at the moment when four football fans approached the journalist asking where he came from. They then reportedly tried to grab his microphone and take his camera. The journalist refused to give the equipment to the attackers, which resulted in a scuffle breaking out during which the producer's nose was broken.
According to the producer, he was attacked by Olympiacos fans. Two of the attackers picked his pockets and took his phone and microphone while the third one hit the journalist in the nose. After the fight the fans tossed the reporter's possessions the ground and left.
After the incident the journalist reported the incident to the police and went to hospital.
