SOT, Nikil, local trader: "We've been opposing against the unethical practices from Amazon and Flipkart. They've been selling their products at very cheaper rates and nowadays the consumers think that we are being thieves, that we've been taking a long margin, a huge margin. The customers are not coming to our shops now and they think that we are thieves."

SOT, Nikil, local trader: "Day by day the retail trade is going down and down and most of the shops have been closed down in the past two to three years; 30 to 40 thousand shops have been closed; and if the government doesn't take any steps each and every retail business will go down and every shop will be closed."

SOT, Vikas, local trader: "I'm sure our voice will be heard, definitely [by] the government of India, because we are citizens of India, and Amazon and Flipkart will also hear us and work with us. We are not trying to stop their business, we are just trying to tell them that they should have an ethical business to perform and the government should make revenue they should not make losses because anything sold at underprices, the revenue that goes to the government becomes less, so we want that the government also should make money, that's how the entire economy will grow."
