Social Media Day is Coming

Social media has increasingly become the way we communicate, so on June 30 we willl be recognizing it with its own day.
In 2010, Mashable launched Social Media Day to acknowledge the impact these tools have had on our lives. Since then, the day has become a global celebration of a new digital lifestyle.
A the end of the month, thousands of people — from Cleveland and Madera to Doha and Egypt — will gather for seminars, forums, community projects and parties as Mashable celebrates its 6th annual social media day. Cities in America where social media day is official include palm coast, florida, addison texas, fayetteville North carolina, houston texas, and tulsa okahoma.
You can participate online by connecting with others using the hashtag #SMDay, or offline at one of the many Mashable Meetup Organizers events around the world.
