SOT, Harj Dhaliwal, Managing Director of Middle East and India at Hyperloop One: "The Hyperloop is a mass transport system. We have the ability to be able to carry up to 16,000 passengers per hour in each direction. Each pod, or vehicle as we call it, has the capability of holding 28 passengers, and each pod can then be electronically coupled to a series of pods to have six or twelve pod configurations just like a train, but no physical connectivity, it's all electronically coupled. That enables us to have each pod go point to point to each destination. No timetables. Turn up and go."

Virgin Hyperloop One (VHO) unveiled their latest development - Hyperloop pod - a vacuumed tube capable of transporting passenger pods at speeds of up to 1,080 kmph (671 mph), at the Dubai International Motor Show on Tuesday.
VHO says the full-scale hyperloop vehicle uses electric propulsion and electromagnetic levitation under near-vacuum conditions, signifying a "new form of transportation that is faster, safer, cheaper, and more sustainable than existing modes."
"We have the ability to be able to carry up to 16,000 passengers per hour in each direction," Harj Dhaliwal, Managing Director of the Middle East and India at Hyperloop One, adding the ground-breaking hyperloop technology promises to transport passengers between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in under 12 minutes.
This year's event marks the 15th year of the Dubai International Motor Show, which dubs itself the largest international automotive event across the Middle East and North Africa.
