Philippines Wants US Help in South China Sea Dispute

Philippines defense minister Voltaire Gazmin said Monday that the country wants more commitment from the United States as China claims disputed areas of the South China Sea.
The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei have overlapping claims in the South China Sea. It's not hard to see why the area is so contested with $5 trillion in ship-borne trade passes every year.
