Russia: Syrian conflict solution? Inter-Syrian meeting agrees 10-point document

The moderator of the Inter-Syrian Moscow meeting Vitalii Naumkin confirmed the adoption of the final document of 10 articles unanimously passed by all the members of the meeting, in Moscow, Friday. The document includes - besides other things - the understanding that finding a solution to the Syrian crisis can only be achieved by political means, on the basis of consensus based on the principles of the Geneva communique of 30 June 2012. The second round of inter-Syrian Moscow meeting took place on April 6 to 9. The agenda included the launch of political dialogue and process of national reconciliation. Syria's ambassador to the United Nations, Bashar al-Jaafari, hailed the talks for fruitful exchange of views from all sides. The first inter-Syrian consultative meeting in Moscow took place from January 26 to 29 where, for the first time, representatives of the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic, various opposition groups and civil society sat together at one table.
