BBC Ditches 'Top Gear' Host Jeremy Clarkson

Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson’s long-lasting and increasingly tense relationship with the BBC has finally run its course. Clarkson was suspended from the U.K. public broadcasters hit motoring series on March 10 for reportedly throwing a punch at a producer. and now the BBC has announced its decision on the 54-year-old following an internal investigation. The network said Wednesday it would not renew his contract. Clarkson’s career with Top Gear began in 1988 when he joined as a host.
