Syria: Free Syrian Army fighters claim victory in city of Jarablus

Free Syrian Army fighters could be seen driving into the northern Syrian town of Jarablus on Wednesday, following the successful campaign by Turkey-backed Syrian rebels to take back areas held by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL).
The Turkish military launched strikes and a ground attack against targets IS last Wednesday. The strikes reportedly came as retaliation to mortar fire that hit Turkey's south-eastern province of Gaziantep the day before.
Operation Euphrates Shield was launched in alliance with the US-led coalition and aimed to clear IS fighters from the Syria-Turkey border.
