SCRIPT
Two deadly avalanches claimed the lives of at least 38 people, including a rescue team that was searching for victims of the first avalanche near the town of Bahcesaray in Van province on Wednesday.
Reports say the first avalanche took place around 17:00 local time (14:00 GMT) on Tuesday, killing 5 people, while the second took place on Wednesday claiming the lives of 33 rescue workers.
Footage shows rescue teams trying to find those who were trapped underneath snow after the second avalanche.
According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) 59 search and rescue experts were deployed to the disaster zone to help in the rescue efforts.
