UK: Protesters stage die-in against future expansion plans at Heathrow airport

A hundred protesters staged a die-in protest against the proposed third runway in Terminal 2 at Heathrow airport, on Saturday.
The protest was organised by the climate change campaign group 'Reclaim the Power,' who condemn the further expansion of the airport, stressing the serious environmental impact these actions will have. Demonstrators held banners denouncing the expansion and were joined by a choir, who sang to the tune of the Beatles "Hey Jude" and "Auld Lang Syne," whilst travellers watched on.
The protest caused a great deal of disruption, as the protester did not move for travellers, although no disruptions to flights were announced. A decision on whether to support expansion of Heathrow is expected in the following weeks.
