Ashley Jiron, owner of P.B. Jams in Warr Acres, Okla., did something incredible when she realized that someone was going through her establishment's trash in order to find something to eat.
S he told Oklahoma City's KFOR, "Last week, I had noticed some bags, when I had taken out the trash, were torn open and some of the food was taken out."
Instead of ignoring the dumpster diving, Jiron decided to take action. She posted a note on the door of her restaurant:
"To the person going through our trash for their next meal,
You're a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a classic Pb&J, fresh veggies, and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.
Your friend, the owner"
She also posted a photo of the sign to her company's Facebook page, asking people to help her make sure that the hungry individual desperate for food saw her offer.
