A carpenter from the Chinese city of Kaiyuan took charge of his dream of owning a sports car by making use of his carpentry skills and building a wooden sports car of his own at home.
Sun, aged 62, thought it's never too late to realise his dream and invested eight years and 200,000 yuan ($28511.15/€25772.24) in building the car, which is a homemade replica of a 1934 Mercedes Benz 500k.
"In the first few years, I made several wooden bikes which were collected by people, and I have [had] some start-up capital to invest in this wooden sports car," he said.
Except for the chassis and engine, the sports car is entirely made of wood and can reach speeds of 80-90 or kilometers per hour (49-55 mph).
