France: Russian football stars talk mentality, team spirt and Rooney ahead of Euro 2016

Members of Russian national football team Pavel Mamayev and Oleg Ivanov talked to journalists after an open training session in Paris, Wednesday.
Ivanov said that he saw games of Manchester United team and said that the team's captain, Wayne Rooney "always takes the centre stage". Mamayev shared his opinion on the English team, saying "it is strong as the whole team" and not as separate players, even though they are world-class athletes.
The Russian national football team will be based in Renaissance Paris Hippodrome de St. Cloud Hotel in the town of Rueil-Malmaison, 14 kilometres away from the Paris during UEFA Euro 2016, which starts on June 10. The squad, led by head coach Leonid Slutsky, will play their first match against England in Marseille on June 11.
The players already started their trainings on the fields of the Parc Omnisports complex, which is located in the nearby town of Croissy-sur-Seine on the opposite side of the River Seine. Slovakia and Wales are also rivals of Russia to qualify to quarter finals of the tournament.
