17.02.2016
Ahmed Gaddaf Al-Dam, cousin of the President Moammar Gaddafi, gave an interview in Cairo, Wednesday, five years after the Feb. 17 uprising in Libya.
"Blood continues to flow", he said, "we are still killed by the gangs and those puppets that were brought from the West to control Libya." He slammed Western intervention saying that "If not for the invasion of NATO troops [..] we wouldn't be in that situation as it is now."
He went on to call the so-called Islamic State (formerly ISIS,ISIL), a religion that had been created in the west, "most of them are foreigners. Among them there are fewer than one percent of Libyans", he said.
February 17 marks five years since the uprising which toppled and killed long-time ruler Muammar Gaddafi. Libya has remains largely destabilized ever since.
