SOT, Journalist (English): "So how many times do you look at it then? Tell us where you sit in all that."
SOT, Amy Cutler, Resident of Swansea (English): "I look at it every single day, every time I look up from my desk I can see that house."
SOT, Journalist (English): "So what do you think of it becoming a tourist attraction, is it a bit bonkers?"
SOT, Amy Cutler, Resident of Swansea (English): "Absolutely bonkers."
SOT, Journalist (English): "And the landlord I think is renting it out for 85 pounds per week, would you consider renting it?"
SOT, Amy Cutler, Resident of Swansea (English): "No I don’t think so, not at 85 pounds a week! I don’t think its worth that."
SOT, Matthew Davies, Resident of Swansea (English): "It definitely looks like him. It’s got the slant, the beard. It’s quite a funny one."
SOT, Journalist (English): "So explain to me how do you see it, how do you know about it?"
SOT, MAtthew Davies, Resident of Swansea (English): "Originally I heard about it on the news, when it first hit publicity. Then when I realized I was working right next to it, well that was a bit of a shock."
SOT, Journalist (English): "So how many times do you look at it a day and does it disturb you?"
SOT, Matthew Davies, Resident of Swansea (English): "It does – but it makes me laugh. I’ve seen it a couple of times where I’ve got up and literally just tried to have a laugh!"
A house in the Swansea’s suburb of Port Tennant in Wales, which is notorious for supposedly resembling Adolf Hitler, has been put up for rent at 85 pounds per week, a video released on Friday confirms.
Residents of the town reacted with amusement and exasperation. When asked if she would rent it, resident Amy Cutler said: "No I don’t think so, not at 85 pounds a week! I don’t think it’s worth that."
Rachel Thomas, another resident, described how the building resembled Hitler, explaining that “ if you look at the house a couple of times you will see with the slanty roof - it looks as if that’s the hairline, and I think it’s one of the windowsills or the bit above the door that looks like the black moustache.”
The ‘Hitler House’ – which belongs to 70-year-old Clive Davis and has been in his family for generations – was brought to the world’s attention by a local youth worker who photographed it in 2011.
