Spain: ‘Another dream come true’ – Gareth Bale renews contract at Real Madrid

Welsh footballer Gareth Bale renewed his contract at Spanish football club Real Madrid for another six years, he confirmed at a press conference in Madrid on Monday.
Speaking to the packed room inside the Bernabeu, the 27-year-old striker expressed his excitement, stating:
“I'm obviously very, very happy today and when I first came here I wanted to succeed here, and I wanted to win trophies here, and to be sitting here now and to renew my contract is another dream come true.”
He went on to acknowledge some of the hardships he had faced during his time at the club, including the bad press he had received, but added “I think it's all a learning curve I've really grown up as a person, and I've enjoyed every experience whether it's been good or bad. And I think the most important thing for me now is that I feel happy here, I feel loved here by the fans.”
Bale joined the team in 2013 and has made 134 appearances so far, scoring 62 goals, and winning the UEFA Champions League twice.
