Amid the low air quality index of New Delhi, a bar decided to literally give customers a breath of fresh air. Instead of cigarettes, it is selling oxygen.
For the price of 299 Rupees (€3,80 / US $4), anyone can sit back and enjoy 15 minutes of fresh air.
Footage from Tuesday shows the oxygen produced and kept on chemical tubes, while clients place a cannula on their noses and begin the process.
Promising to deliver better health and relaxation, Oxy Pure has a different set of flavours available to the client. From lavender to eucalyptus, each of them pledges to have a different effect on the body.
According to an employee of the bar, Bonny, the oxygen can detoxify the body and clear the mind.
Customer Arshita agrees with the diagnosis. "Within 15 minutes, you are able to inhale oxygen and you feel yourself relaxed and you can distress yourself, so I came for the same purpose to this oxygen bar," she said.
According to reports, the bar produces the "fresh air" through oxygen concentration tubes by separating nitrogen and other atmospheric gases from the ambient air.
