Belgium: NATO to create new HQs in E. Europe, boost response forces – Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance would boost response forces to 40,000 troops and establish six new small headquarters in Eastern European countries, during a press conference in Brussels, Thursday. "Decisions on further headquarters in Hungary and Slovakia, on the completion of an enhanced NATO response force and how the NATO response force can respond to challenges from the south," will be among the points discussed at Thursday's meeting of NATO defence ministers, Stoltenberg said.
