IHOP Logo Gets Facelift After Two Decades

IHOP's 20-year-old logo is getting a much-needed attitude adjustment.
For those who may have creatively interpreted IHOP's downward banner as a frowning face, the decades-old pancake house is brightening its expression with a smiley new emblem. IHOP spokesperson Kevin Mortesen said the old logo's morose countenance wasn't the primary reason for the change, but it did play a role. According to Nation's Restaurant News, the mood swing comes after the breakfast chain spent months testing out a swanky new redesign at dozens of its restaurants.
