SOT, Horst Seehofer, Interior Minister of Germany (German): "During my visit in Halle I a shout from the people made a deep impression on me; 'You cannot protect us' and the concern of the jewish fellow citizens 'Will your words be followed by actions now?'"

SOT, Horst Seehofer, Interior Minister of Germany (German): "[What we will do] is the protection of synagogues, the reorganisation of the federal criminal police, of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, including an even closer cooperation between the government and the federal states. It's the obligation to report on criminal content by internet providers, including the obligation to delete. We rely on voluntary action here as the hate that is being spread there often is an early stage of violence. I am glad that we could come up with an agreement on arms rights, that the update on the arms rights that has been drafted by the Bundestag will be tightened even more with the objective that weapons should not be in the hands of extremists."

SOT, Horst Seehofer, Interior Minister of Germany (German): "I want to point out once again that the threat of right-wing extremism and terrorism and anti-semitism is very serious in our country. I've been saying this for months and I ask you to take it seriously. That's why we have to examine all areas where we can act preventively and repressively including the civil services and all its branches."

And we need to draw our consequences from this."
