Russia: Brand new Nerehta combat-robot the ultimate defence for Topol-Ms

The Russian Army employed its brand-new combat robot named the Nerehta for the first time in the Irkutsk Region on Thursday.
The Nerehta was involved in large-scale rocket forces drills, where it defend Topol-M Intercontinental ballistic missiles as they were repositioned in the woods in order to be hidden.
Captain Dimitri Lichagin spoke of the specifications of the army's latest addition, saying that it is "portable and well-equipped. It has electro-optical equipment, thermal camera, laser ranging devices and ballistic computers. It is capable of firing on the enemy at a distant up to 400 metres. In addition, the equipment which is installed into this complex, can detect an intruder both during day and night time."
Apart from the Nerehta, the drills also involved a so-called Flibustier drone which is able to remain airborne for hours to detect danger day or night.
